The top innovative and quality business practices and companies were recognised and honoured at an awards ceremony here recently.
The Malaysia Business Awards (MBA), organised by the Asean Business Advisory Council Malaysia (AseanBAC Malaysia), saw more than 500 business executives, government dignitaries and industry bigwigs witnessing their peers receiving the highest accolades.
Among the awards were for Young Entrepreneur of the Year, CEO of the Year, Asean Excellence and International Excellence Awards and Lifetime Achievement.
Martin Ang, general manager (sales & marketing), Perfect Food Manufacturing (M) Sdn Bhd, received the Industry Excellence Award for Food Industries (for its products, Julie’s Biscuits) from Minister of International Trade and Industry, Datuk Seri Mustapha Mohamad.
The MBA concept, mooted in 2009, was one of the recommendations produced by AseanBAC Malaysia, which included an annual business recognition and networking platform as part of its efforts to emphasise a growing content in Malaysia-Asean relations in response to common economic challenges.
